Finding Hope In These Chaotic Times
I had a person who struggles with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) reach out to me. They read an article on my website and ask if I would write something about this disorder.
I was planning on composing an essay and posting it for April, but due to the severity of conditions around the world with Coronavirus, I read this post on social media and wanted to utilized this time to share!
During this fearful time and not knowing what to expect, I found these words comforting and inspirational. I don’t have the correct citation for who wrote this but will use quotes where appropriate.
“And the people stayed home. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still”.
“And listened more deeply. Some meditated. Some prayed. Some danced. Some met their shadows”.
“And the people began to think differently. All the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal”.
“And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed”. -unknown-
In July I will write on my blog about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. If you have any subjects that you would like me to write about just email me on my Contact Us page or comment below. We love to hear from you.
